Jason A. Lewis is a Georgia native who has been practicing law since 1999. After graduating from Mercer Law School in Macon, Jason clerked one year for Floyd Superior Court Judge F. Larry Salmon. From that position, Jason gained valuable insight to all areas of criminal and civil practice.
In 2000, then District Attorney, Tami Colston hired Jason to be Juvenile Court Prosecutor. Jason was promoted to Assistant District Attorney for the Floyd County Superior Court in 2002, where he went on to handle hundreds of cases and conduct dozens of jury trials, as well as matters in Probate and Magistrate Courts.
In 2004, Jason began his own law practice. As a founding partner of Smith, Lewis & Haley, he specializes in Criminal Defense, Family Law, Employment Discrimination, Personal Injury and General Civil Litigation. In 2005, Jason was appointed as Associate Municipal Court Judge for the City of Rome.
